Project Manager

Reports to:

Job Summary:
Key hands-on managerial position responsible for project activities and business management. Responsibilities include staff and client management, relationship building, business generation, requirements analysis and specification for new and existing business as well as public relations, business marketing and promotion, directly or indirectly executed through other colleagues.

Essential skills required and principal duties:

  • Review, update and maintain staff & client personal, business details

  • Arrange and attend meetings and conference calls

  • Manage training events, coordinating all related activities

  • Requirements gathering and specification writing

  • Engage with and advise clients who require work to be undertaken

  • Work with clients to develop and capture business and technical requirements for all web based developments

  • Web editing, graphics and design skills

  • Project manage the development of web developments and liaise between clients and development teams

  • Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of web developments and IT solutions

  • Obtain quotes for web development work

  • Plan and schedule web development projects, resolving conflicting priorities where possible or escalating these to senior management when necessary

  • Ensure that end user documentation is produced for new web developments and deliver or arrange training for clients who will need to use the newly developed

  • Identify and manage risks associated with web development projects. Escalate as appropriate to senior management

  • Deliver project closure and lessons learned reports for larger pieces of web development

  • Produce project status updates for clients and management

  • New business generation, product and service recommendations

  • Marketing and promotion of business, products and services


Person Specification

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Highly organised, able to work without close supervision

  • Knowledge of web technologies and development practices

  • Willingness to learn new skills

  • Excellent Presentation skills and takes punctuality seriously

  • Awareness of accessibility, Freedom of Information and Data Protection law

  • Valid drivers license, able to drive and has personal transportation would be an advantage.
